Fine vinegars and spirits
For more than 30 years the Gölles family has been tending their orchards in the Styrian hill country surrounding historic Riegersburg Castle. Only the finest, purest and ripest fruit is used for making fine vinegars and spirits.
In addition to traditional plum schnapps and apple vinegar, the product range also includes more creative compositions such as “sow” pear schnapps and tomato vinegar.
Step up and have a look behind the scenes!
On the recently revised tour, you will visit Austria’s biggest cellar of vinegar barrels and put your taste buds to the test in a vinegar-tasting session. The most conspicuous elements in the schnapps distillery are the copper stills. The romantic schnapps cellar with its many oak casks and glass carboys suggests how long the fine spirits of Gölles must age before they’re released. Rounding off the tour is a tasting session of liqueurs and other fine spirits.
